Anna Campagnari…called Anareta. A nickname I have had for over 40 years, when I started entering Venetian regattas.

I have won the Regata Storica 4 times, also conquering numerous other first places in other prestigious regattas in which the prizes are flags of four different colors depending on the position achieved – Red for the first, white for the second, green for the third and finally blue for the fourth place.
I started by making these flags given as awards and then I also dedicated myself to the creation of larger flags.
In fact, for over 15 years I have been painting flags and banners entirely by hand on various types of fabrics such as satin or taffeta, faithfully reproducing designs and images that I obtain from my continuous historical research.

In addition to flags, I also make other objects such as cushions, bags and I personalise the original velvet “furlane” or scarpèt, (as they call them in Friuli).
I have painted flags that represent my city that are now all over the world, in New York in one of the fire stations there is one of my banners, in the city of Suzhou in China, in Germany, in Prague at the museum on the Charles Bridge, in Florida… and I am really pleased for example, that there is a person who, in his house in Sweden, has one wall of a beautiful room with a large banner that I made, a faithful historical reproduction of one dating back to the 18th century.
