Monica Daniele has been working in the heart of Venice for 30 years, where she opened the city’s first store dedicated to the Tabarro – the famous cape of Venice: Tabarro San Marco.

The shop specializes in the creation of hats, a craft she has mastered in every aspect. A designer with roots in art and painting, she is a self-proclaimed “compulsive” collector of fabrics and garments. Skilled in working with materials, she envisions, designs, and creates iconic hat styles throughout history: fedoras, top hats, pillbox hats, beauty fascinators, and even summer boaters. Monica ensures her creations combine practicality and comfort while leaving room for the individuality of her clients.

Over the years, she has played a key role in bringing the tabarro back into fashion. This essential piece of traditional Venetian clothing is a full-circle cape made from fine fabrics such as wool, cashmere, silk, linen, or any other luxurious material inspired by the rich history of Venice—a source of endless creativity for this extraordinary designer.
